Late Mr. S. Sinha, the former Director of Indian Public School, graduated from Gaya College and received his post-graduate degree from Banaras Hindu University. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Education (M.Ed.) from Patna
University. As a keen, inquisitive and sensitive student he had a natural inclination and aptitude for a teaching and educational research. He had varied and wide experience of working in various esteemed educational institutions. He founded and developed Government subsidized Higher Secondary School in Palamu and gained reputation as a Model Principal. Subsequently, in view of his merit and excellence, he was selected for Sainik School, Tilaiya, and remained its senior Housemaster for 23 years till 1986. He left an incredible imprint on the products of the institution as a brilliant teacher and a guide
who moulded the personalities and careers of a large number of students excelling in
various fields viz. medical, engineering, civil services and armed forces.
With the introduction of National Education Policy in 1986, he volunteered his services for this new scheme and was appointed by the Human Resource Development Ministry, Government of India, as the Principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Sheikhpura (Munger). After his retirement from the Novodaya Vidyalaya as a very successful founder principal he took over as the principal at our Indian Public School Hajipur. He authored a number of books and articles for secondary school students and was associated with a number of educational bodies.
After guiding the Indian Public School from Aug, 1992 to July 2000 effectively as its Principal, Mr Sinha, in view of his extraordinary contributions in giving shape and direction to the school, was elevated to the post of Director. He led the school to maintain high academic standards and inspired the faculty and pupils to achieve new heights.
